The Scottish Boys Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship is Scotland's premier stroke play event for junior golfers. Established in 1971, the first winner of the championship was Ewen Murray, now a commentator on Sky Sports. Other former winners include Stephen Gallacher and Lloyd Saltman, whilst top courses such as Prestwick, Downfield, Kilmarnock (Barassie) and Renfrew have all hosted the event. The championship shall comprise 72 holes of stroke play. 18 holes shall be played on each of the first two days. The 40 competitors returning the lowest scores over the first 36 holes and those tying for 40th place shall play the final 36 holes. |
Entry Details: Entrants must be under the age of 18 years on 00.01 hours on 1 January 2010. The starting field shall be 144 and in the event of an over-entry the number shall be reduced in order of exact handicap. Entrants who have failed to gain entry will be allocated to a reserve list by order of handicap. REGISTRATION LIST |
