Three in a row for Kelsey - Girls Update - Scottish Team
Kelsey MacDonald from Nairn Dunbar has won the Scottish Ladies' Junior Open Stroke Play Championship for the third year running.
Having kicked off with a level par 72 to lead the field after the first round she maintained that lead after round two with a 75 before finishing off with a two under par round of 70.
Megan Briggs (Kilmacolm) moved up to finish second with Gillian Monteith (Portpatrick Dunskey) third, Eilidh Briggs (Kilmacolm) fourth and Rachael Watton (Mortonhall & Gullane ) fifth. Eilidh Briggs also won the Menzies Trophy for the lowest aggregate score by an under 18.
Lesley Atkins was 23rd and Clara Young 25th - they've a few more years at this one !!
Congrats too to Rachael W and Lesley Atkins of GLGC and both of whom play for the Gullane Junior team who have been selected to represent Scotland in the Girls Home Internationals in NI at the start of August.
