Important Championship Victory for Gullane Boy !

It may have been the Scottish Boys Sytrokeplay and Girls U21 this week but just as important was the Esmond Trophy at North Berwick Kids Couse  won by 10 yo William Ladbrooke !! Played on a match play basis following strokeplay qualification , the Ladbrooke brothers navigated through the quarters and semis to meet in the final with William steadying  his initial nerves and settling in to defeat older brother Oliver in a battle of the putter.

Many a successful golfing career has been launched by the Kids Competitions at NB and this is exactly the place where younger Gullane golfers should be honing their competitive skills - hopefully  not too late to enter the remaining competitions this summer if you haven't already
