August Update

The McLeans are on holiday but the golf season has been very busy - here is a quick update. More will appear on the blog later this week.
 
Girls Home Internationals
 
These take place Wed - Friday on No 2. Lesley and Clara are both representing Scotland - well done them and hopefully they will make the most of home advantage and do us proud. Please come along and support - foursomes in am and singles in pm. Follow progress on the LGU or Kirkwood Golf websites.
 
Next week it is the British Girls on No 1
 
League Matches
 
We have won our last two matches against Dunbar and Longniddry so sit on top of the league having won 5 drawn 1 and lost 1. Big match on Sunday at Craigielaw ! Team to be finalised by Gordon on Friday.
 
East Lothian Championships - Winterfield Friday 5th August.
 
Good luck to everyone playing on Friday at Winterfield - whether representing Gullane or otherwise!  Gordon has all the tee times and will circulate.

8 player team will be finalised shortly - followed by lunch and bounce games at Gullane later. 
 
Junior Summer Meeting - Sun 14th
 
This is one of our busiest days and there will be three trophies to play for - further details to follow. Could trophy winners from 2010 please return the trophies.

St Andrews Boys Open 
 
Alexander has reached the quarter finals of this prestigious event - plays Andrew Cunningham of Ranfurly Castle today at 9.12. Ally Simpson also qualified. Follow on www.standrews.org.uk
 
Tom Simmonds going well in the handicap event for the Murray Mitchell Trophy - also playing in Q/F today v Aidan Murphy of Southport + Ainsdale.
 
Highland Spring Junior Masters Regional Final - Turnhouse 2nd Aug

Coaching Boot Camps
 
The third of these finished last week and they have been a great success. Thanks to Ian Rowlands + team! We are now working on winter programme.
 
US Kids World Championships
 
Both Charlotte + Brodie are in Pinehurst for the US Kids World Championships this week - follow progress on the US Kids website.
