7/05/2011 | Lothians will 'benefit in long run' |
JUNIOR convenor Paul Gibson is inperturbed about Lothians losing 10-5 to Perth & Kinross in an annual boys' match at Whitemoss. "Although the result was fairly one-sided, I am heartened by the close matches," he said. "It is obvious that P&K fielded their strongest team with the exception of Bradley Neil...that's fine. "I will not deviate from trying to encourage our youngsters. After all, that's in line with our coaching programme. "Results like this are okay, we will benefit in the long run." Murray Naysmith and Murray Paterson won both their matches for Lothians but Stuart Blair was the only other victor for the visitors in the afternoon singles.
