Team match v Musselburgh Old - 31 July

I am afraid I have to report a loss to Musselburgh Old yesterday 3 ½ - 2 ½. It was one of those days where local knowledge made the difference. Being Musselburgh Gala Day there were many distractions such as continuous really noisy music from in front of the grandstand, horses galloping around and not to mention one poor horse collapsing and having to be put down next to the 2^nd fairway !! The home team’s knowledge of the greens and their use of the wide open spaces on the racetrack proved to be decisive.

Musselburgh Old GC was very hospitable and our team and reserves ( Lara and Jamie ) , although very disappointed at the result, behaved extremely well and were a great credit to GGC.
