Charlotte in St Andrews - Gullane's Wee Wonder !
Charlotte played 3 rounds of the Balgove course in St Andrews in the Wee Wonders UK Championship 2010. She performed well in tough windy conditions and against good competition, beating some old ( ? she is only 10 !! ) rivals from both north and south of the border on the way.
She was consistent across the three rounds 34,35,35 for 104 total and finished a proud runner up. In addition she has been invited to join a GB & Ireland team that will play at the US Kids World Championships in Pinehurst next August, all great stuff – the Munros had better start saving!.
Brodie Good was 12th in his age group and Eloise Healey from Liverpool, who is also a Gullane member following the US Kids, was 3rd in hers. Well done both too !

Clubgolf competition Gullane
Hi clubgolfers,
It was Gullane's turn to host a fun competition this weekend with players from Gullane and the surrounding area. The competition was split into 2 groups with a handicapped group going out at 10am and the non handicapped players starting at 1pm, 24 children in all attended.
Conditions both in the morning and afternoon was tough with blustery winds and a smattering of rain in the afternoon, but i'm glad to say that everyone battled through and we had some great scores.
Results for the Handicapped players:
1st place: Callum Black
2nd place:Niamh Pinkerton
3rd Place: Kieran Floyd
Longest drive in blustery conditions saw Niamh nail it onto the green, and closest to the hole went to Kieran.
Results for the non handicapped players:
1st place: Jamie Wallace
2nd place: Dillon Floyd
3rd place: Rohan Liddell
There was a great battle for 2nd and 3rd place as 3 players came in with a net score 24 and went on to a sudden death extra holes with Jed Clements just missing out.
Longest drive went to Kirsten Walker and closest to the hole was Nathan Robertson.
Thank you to all the players and markers for helping making this competition a happy and successful event.
Andy Walker
