2011 SCOTTISH CHAMPIONSHIPS CALUM AND CLARA SHINE!

Clara 5th in Scottish Girls U16 and Calum Semi Finalist in Scottish Boys!  Well done! The SLGA Under 16s Girls Championship was held at Strathmore on the  14th & 15th of April EL were represented by Lesley Atkins, Clara Young and  Rosie Everett. Clara finished in a superb 5th place with rounds of 75 and 73,  6 strokes behind the winner Bronte Law. Lesley Atkins was joint 25th with 76  and 80. Rosie had an excellent 80 in round 2. In the SGU Scottish Boys Championship at Dunbar, Calum reached the  semi final only to lose out to Liam Johnston, a +1.1 handicapper from  Dumfries and County. Liam will now play David Wilson, a 1 handicapper  from Troon on Saturday 16th April. Why not go along and watch? EL had around 20 boys in the event. There were 4 EL boys who made it to the  last 32. They were:- the holder Grant Forrest of Craigielaw, Anthony Blaney of  Liberton and Gullane, Nathan Free of Musselburgh and Calum Hill of  Tantallon. However, Grant, Anthony and Nathan were defeated so Calum was  the only EL player to survive into the semis.
