SCOTLAND SCHOOLS TEAM TO PLAY ENGLAND


The Scottish Schools Golf Association has named the following squads for the annual schools golf international match against England at Fairhaven Golf Club, Lancashire on Monday, September 13.

BOYS
Lawrence Allan (Alva Academy).
Neil Beattie (Madras College, St Andrews).
Graeme Duncan (Calderhead High, Shotts).
Simon Fairburn (Galashiels Academy).
Cameron Farrell (Dumbarton Academy).
Scott Gibson (Dumfries Academy).
Liam Johnston (St Joseph's College, Dumfries).
Charlie MacNeal (Wellington School, Ayr).
Jamie Savage (Lenzie Academy).
Ewan Scott (Madras College, St Andrews).
Calum Stewart (Golspie High).
Daniel Thompsett (Aboyne Academy).

GIRLS
Lesley Atkins (Loretto School)
Eilidh Briggs (Gryffe High, Houston).
Gabrielle Macdonald (Trinity Academy, Edinburgh).
Hannah McCook (Grantown Grammar).
Alyson McKechin (Trinity High, Renfrew).

Scottish boys' match-play champion Grant Forrest was unavailable for selection as he has accepted an invitation to play in The Duke of York Young Champions Trophy in the England that week.


The 1-2-3 in the Scottish schoolboys championship at Murrayshall, Perthshire in early June will play in the schools international - title winner Scott Gibson, runner-up Liam Johnson and Ewan Scott.

Julie Yang, who was a Loretto School student when she won the Scottish schoolgirls' championship at Murrayshall in June, would have been selected but she returned to South Korea at the end of August.
