Junior Spring Meeting - 3rd April

Four seasons in one day did not spoil another excellent afternoon for our junior golfers on No3 today.

27 of our youngsters turned out which was great to see so early in the season !

First and most importantly, we had nine Gullane kids ( 6 boys and 3 girls ) playing 6 holes, having come through from clubgolf coaching. Thanks to Lara Frostwick, our Girl Captain, and the various parents who accompanied them.  Congratulations to all the players led home by Rohan Chapman Liddell in 34 shots followed by Roan Frostwick in 37. All these yougsters are the future !

The future was also on display amongst the 18 who played the full 18. William Ladbrooke  aged 10 (!!)  squeezed out 11 year old Brodie Good with a net 59 to a net 60 - Brodie bitterly regretting his 7 at the last :-(  But great shooting from both and congratulations to William. There were many other fine scores as detailed below. Scott Young might be slightly miffed having recorded a fine 61 for only 3rd place. Good score too from Charlotte the only girl playing 18.

Congratulations to all achieving handicap reductions - No 3 is not easy with today's CSS going down 1 to 65 for boys and 68 for girls.  Fantastic scratch scoring from 16 yo Graham Swan and 14 yo Gary Brownlee with 71s and 72 from 15 yo Duncan McLean.

The 18 holers then used the Mixed Lounge with Alasdair Good reporting our aquistion of European Tour Pro Stephen Gallacher as a new member and one who will give up some time for the Juniors going forward.
