EAST LOTHIAN GIRLS RETAIN CUTHBERTSON CUP AT WHITEKIRK

East Lothian girls ( with 3 members of GLGC ! ) won the Cuthbertson Cup tournament for the second year in a row at Whitekirk Golf Club on Sunday when it was dry overhead with a slight wind but very cold.
East Lothian beat Midlothian 4-0 in the final to follow up last year's victory which had been their first in 18 years.
The morning matches saw Midlothian play Stirling and Clackmannanshire with the match halved 2-2.  Midlothian progressed to the final on the competition ruling of holes up by 9-6.
East Lothian started the day playing against Fife, in another close battle between two teams who produced some excellent golf the match was halved 2-2.  East Lothian progressed to the final on the competition ruling of holes up by 6-5.

EAST LOTHIAN - Lesley Atkins, Charlotte Munro. Keren Ward and Clara Young.
MIDLOTHIAN - Kirsty Burgess, Emily Dalgetty, Jessica Dalgetty and Hannah Scott.
STIRLING and CLACKMANNAN - Jennifer Allan, Beth Donoghue, Catherine Gordon, Andrea Walker.
FIFE - Shannen Maguire, Nicola Taylor, Alexandra Tait, Lauren Whyte.
