Sc close but so far for Scottish Boys

SCOTLAND BOYS JUST MISS OUT IN PRAGUE

Scotland’s boys failed narrowly in the European boys' championship at Prague in the Czech Republic.

Their individual scores were:
Grant Forrest 70, Greg Marchank 70, Eamon Bradley 72, Ewan Scott 73, Anthony Blaney 74, Jack McDonald 78.

Their team total of 723 put them in joint ninth position, only one shot more than the seventh and eighth top-flight qualifiers Ireland and France. 
England missed out in 15th place with 735.

2011 European Boys Team Championship Scores & Results, Prague City Golf Club

The German Boys Golf Team led the 2011 European Boys Team Championship strokeplay qualifying with a fifteen under par total score of 705 at Prague City Golf Club, Prague, Czech Republic, earlier today.

In a distance second place, seven shots in arrears, were the Finish and Spanish Golf Teams on -8, followed by Austria on -4, Italy on -3,  Denmark on -2 and the final two qualifying spots were taken by Ireland and France on +2.

With eight teams making it through to the top-flight matchplay stages after round 2, the home nations teams of Wales, England and Scotland failed to make it through to the matchplay knock-out stages.
Robin Goger of Austria was the leading individual with a pair of -5, 67s for -10, 134. There was some encouragement for Scotland, with two boys finishing in the leading individual race top-20.
