Congratulations to Lesley and Rachael for doing so well in the Scottish Girls Order of Merit
Eilidh Briggs (Kilmalcolm) won the West of Scotland Girls’ Championship at Troon Portland to clinch victory in the Scottish Ladies’ Golfing Association Girls’ Order of Merit.
The Renfrewshire 17-year-old is the younger sister of 2009 Scottish Amateur Champion, Megan Briggs, and she gathered 2,040 points to edge the Merit title ahead of Hannah McCook (Abernethy).
Hannah, from the nine hole club in Nethybridge, made sure of second place with victory in the North of Scotland Girls’ Championship at Brechin. She finished with 1,620 points.
Third place went to the Scottish Girls Champion, Lesley Atkins (Gullane), with 1,568 points and Rachael Watton (Mortionhall) was fourth on 1,400.
Rachael was a member of the Scottish Ladies team that won the Home Internationals in Wales in September.
Good luck to our team Lesley, Peter Greg and Duncan in the County Cup at Gullane on Thursday and Friday.
