Scottish Boys - Dunbar
Gullane Juniors wiil have a very healthy representation in the Scottish Boys this year, taking place down the road at Dunbar 11 - 16 April
Laid out in 1857 and redesigned by Old Tom Morris around 1894, Dunbar East Links is situated on the estuary of the Firth of Forth is a breathtaking layout of a Championship links.
It is used as an Open Championship Qualifying Venue when the Open is played at Muirfield and all of the major Scottish Championships have been played here, The Scottish Amateur, Scottish Professional Championships, and Scottish Boys’ Championship. The British Ladies and the Ladies Home Internationals have also enjoyed Dunbar as a venue.
Entries have now closed and it looks like 27 out of 283 boys will be balloted out at handicaps of 5.5 or over to leave the required 256. East Lothian Clubs have 23 boys on the list, with 3 likely to be balloted out. The draw will appear on the SGU website in a few days.
