Gullane v Loretto Golf Academy - Sun 6th September 2009
We've had a great response to this fixture and Loretto are delighted that they will be able to bring a large squad to play with us on Gullane No 1 this Sunday. For some it may be their first intro to links golf.
Here are our pairings - we will play a combination of scratch and handicap matches with a mix of 4 balls and foursomes
12.12pm Michael Williams & Jamie Black 10 & 10
12.18pm Tom Grey & Graham Swan 10 & 12
12.24pm Rachel Watton & Lara Frostwick 2 &22
12.30pm Jonny Lauder & Craig Spinks 20 & 22

1.06pm Alex Wilson & Duncan McLean 7 & 8
1.12 pm Convenors / coaches
The first tee time is now at 12.12 pm with subsequent matches at 6 min intervals. I suggest everyone should be there for 12noon if they can and certainly on the putting green ready to play at least 15 minutes in advance of their tee time. There may be last minute alterations. The Loretto team will probably use the range so please share the bays to allow everyone who wants to to hit some balls.
We need to play speedily as there is another match, playing forsomes, following us at 2pm.
This will be a competitive fixture with good golfers on both sides. Please be welcoming of our guests from Loretto. This is their first match of their term and some of them won't have had much experience of links golf.

The match will be followed by soup, bacon rolls and cake in the Members Clubhouse
Please wear team kit ( white shirt, navy jersey, and rain jacket ) if you have it or other Gullane Golf Club apparel if you don't ( and scrap for a place in next year's squad if you don't - then you'll get the kit ! ). It is good to have a few new players making their debut for Gullane.
Please remember a change of shoes for the clubhouse.
Nicky Black, the girls convenor, will be our official starter on the day and will welcome you into the Clubhouse after your match.
Please contact either Gordon or me if you have any queries
